Aaand the horse had sparkly shoes! Awesome!!
They ended the reception by riding off in they're beach cruisers! What a great idea!
Man I am way too obsessed with weddings! :)
On our way back from California we finally got to stay in a hotel that I have been wanting to stay in forever, well since it opened. The Cosmopolitan! And Can I tell you it was amazing, as you know Vegas is one of our favorite get away's. Since I worked for Marriott we got a great discount on our room and they upgraded us to a suite! Most beautiful hotel ever, I loved all the diamonds and jewels.
For Fourth of July Mike and I spent it back in Utah. Downtown Provo has a carnival/fair every year,we went to that almost everyday for the whole week. When I would ask Mike what he wanted for dinner he would say the "fair" haha On actual Fourth of July we went to the Annual parade that everyone camps out for the night before. We hungout with our great friends Kyle and Tina and then watched fireworks on top of the Wells Fargo building! So much fun! Oh yeah we bought a ton of Fireworks! Spent way to much money on them haha
"Wedding numer 2"
A couple weeks after the fourth kyle and Tina got married in the Draper Temple! It was beautiful and so fun to finally see them get married after all the waiting! hmm that sounds familiar :)
It was a great summer day and a very cute reception a peach and aqua vintage shabby chic wedding! Tina made "all" of her decorations and everything turned out perfect. Again my obsession with weddings..here are some pictures.
So pretty and fresh look how cute that bird house is!
Off to California again...yes for "wedding number 3"
But on the way down we stopped in Vegas of course! Our awesome friend Brandon and Julie were already there having a little vacation and since they had this huge 2 bedroom suite they invited us to stay with them, we said YES! hah We had a blast, we only stayed a night since we had to get on the road but we went to the pool, went shopping, and ate lunch and dinner on the strip. Oh yes we stayed at the Planet of hollywood Towers so cool, we got to check off another hotel on our list! We are trying to stay at every hotel on the strip, well the nice ones that is. :)
Ps. love baby Walker! What a cutie!!!
Before the wedding we managed with our busy schedule to go to the beach for a day It was nice to go on a beach date with Mike since we dont get to do that living in Utah very often!
Also the best part was getting to swim and see my old house. Brought back so many great highs chool memories. Love and miss the Riverside house
Nate already has a six pack! :)
I love spending time with the little ones they are everything to me! And they love when Mike and I get to come visit! Mike is such a great big brother in law to them haha! Mike is always so funny with them.
Finally the day of the wedding! Erik is one of Mikes best friends and has been forever. Mike met him because they're sisters are bestfriends! Funny how that happens. Courtney and Erik have a unique story they were next door neighbors for years but never saw any interest... until one day they did! And the rest is history. They got married in the Newport Temple it was fun to get to go to the beach in between the wedding and reception but it was a perfect day for them both and the reception was so fun! They also had this neat Photo booth that we had to of course try!
And of course here are Kyle and Mike seeing goofs as usual! I guess you could say they are dancing!
So after the wedding in California we were back to Utah for a night then off to St. Louis in the morning to see Mikes sister Lisa! Man this summer was so crazy busy.
St. Louis was a blast! I had never been to the mideast. It was very humid, but it didnt bother me as much as I thought! The cool part was seeing the fireflies at night and hearing all the bugs...it was crazy how loud they were, it was nuts! We did a lot of fun things, the best part was that everything was free like the botanical gardens, a concert we went to there, the zoo, and the kids science museum! Since we were there to help Lisa out with Sawyer we took him to all those places. And we went and did some church history in Nauvoo, which i had been wanting to do for a long time. We also tried the famous Ted Drews a frozen custard place that i saw on the travel channel. It was so neat everyone i swear "everyone" goes there after dinner and gets frozen custard and then puts down there tailgate and eats in the back of there car! Like a tailgate party! And I wish I had a picture to show you how long those lines were! I thought we would never get our ice cream I had never seen some many people outside in a line to get ice cream.
Then at the end of our trip we topped it off with a boat tour on the mississippi river and a Cardinals baseball game! The baseball game was Mikes favorite part of the whole trip! They scored 2 home runs in the first inning! So we got to see fireworks, which Saywer loved! Oh yes I forgot we went to see Mark Twains old house where he lived as a child.
one of the days there was a crazy storm and this is what the sky looked like! crazy weather in St. Louis!
One of the last things we did to end the summer was a day on the lake with all our friends! Erik and Courtney invited us up to park city for the weekend along with some other close couples it was a blast! We went wake boarding, wake surfing and tubing so fun!
What a great summer!
