Merry Christmas eve everyone! Today has been a great day! Full of old and new traditions, it was great to share some of mine and be a part of Mike's. Today me and Lisa spent all day baking, She made a pound cake and a chocolate cake, we had also made sugar Christmas cookies the night before. I had made confetti cake cookies, my moms famous bean dip and my grandma's hot apple cider. :) Some of the traditions the Maziarz family has are, singing happy birthday to Jesus so we baked him a cake sang to him and ate it
YUMMY. Then we re-in acted the Nativity scene of Jesus birth. Jenn wrote a great script we all dressed up and sang along as the grandpa's and grandma's watched. As for Mike and I being the newlyweds, of course we were Mary and Joseph! it was a lot of fun. Also all the kids had performances for the adults hehe it reminded me of when I was young and I use to gather up all the cousins to sing or act out a play for everyone! There were a lot of singing and piano performances so cute. Another tradition is to open up a gift on Christmas eve which of course they were pajamas, which is also one of my families traditions. All the kids put them on and looked so dang cute and cuddly. This year is just a little different but still just as great. I miss my family but they sent me some pictures of the kids with they're pj's so I felt a part of it. Oh and an early Christmas gift to the family from Mark and Christy, Christy announced at dinner that she was 2 months pregnant! YAY!
Hope everyone has a great Christmas!
