Caitlin and Josh's Wedding
So Im doing a little update of the year since its coming to an end. Right before summer my dear friend Caitlin got married and in the same temple as we did. The beautiful San Diego temple. I just had to blog about her cute shabby, rustic, southern wedding. So beautiful and elegant. Also she had borrowed my dress so it was fun to see her in it and she looked better than I did, so gorg!

Cabo Mexico
For spring break my parents surprised us with a vacation to Cabo Mexico. This place is special to us because Its where we spent our honeymoon at this same resort. It was so beautiful and warm very different from Utah. It was so nice to wear shorts and flip flops and get some tan lines. We did zip lining for the first time over a canyon and it was such a thrill, we were 300 ft up in the air and the longest zip line we went on was about 600 ft, so fun! The other days we spent most of our time eating yummy food, and laying out by the pool.
NEW YEARS
Over christmas break the Smith family came to Utah for new years for the first time all together. It was so fun to see my family and show them where I live and what I do everyday :) We went sledding, shopping, and checked out Park city. The kids had a blast playing in the snow, it was there first time in snow!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE
Merry Christmas eve everyone! Today has been a great day! Full of old and new traditions, it was great to share some of mine and be a part of Mike's. Today me and Lisa spent all day baking, She made a pound cake and a chocolate cake, we had also made sugar Christmas cookies the night before. I had made confetti cake cookies, my moms famous bean dip and my grandma's hot apple cider. :) Some of the traditions the Maziarz family has are, singing happy birthday to Jesus so we baked him a cake sang to him and ate it YUMMY. Then we re-in acted the Nativity scene of Jesus birth. Jenn wrote a great script we all dressed up and sang along as the grandpa's and grandma's watched. As for Mike and I being the newlyweds, of course we were Mary and Joseph! it was a lot of fun. Also all the kids had performances for the adults hehe it reminded me of when I was young and I use to gather up all the cousins to sing or act out a play for everyone! There were a lot of singing and piano performances so cute. Another tradition is to open up a gift on Christmas eve which of course they were pajamas, which is also one of my families traditions. All the kids put them on and looked so dang cute and cuddly. This year is just a little different but still just as great. I miss my family but they sent me some pictures of the kids with they're pj's so I felt a part of it. Oh and an early Christmas gift to the family from Mark and Christy, Christy announced at dinner that she was 2 months pregnant! YAY!
Hope everyone has a great Christmas!

Oregon Christmas
These past 2 weeks have been so fun and eventful I have never been so busy since the wedding. We have visited all mikes brother's and sister's and played with all the kids...i think i have been to every mall in Portland and Salem Oregon :) lots and lots of christmas shopping. Its been fun catching up and being the newlyweds in the bunch. And I am just falling in love with all my neice's and nephew's more and more each day I see them. The first day we got to Portland we were greeted by Mila and Jenn we went to Ikea and then to Beau and Max's christmas sing a' long so fun to see all the elementry kids sing songs and have another festive production. We were greeted later that night by the Garlock's Lisa, Dave and Sawyer, they had finally got into town from St. Louis. We all stayed at the marriott downtown, it was sooo nice! The next day we spent all together and then went to the Blazer Game with the whole gang even Mike's dad Al joined us. It had been a long time since the whole family had been together like that. And P.S. the Blazers won. Keeping the winning streak going! The next day we, and the Garlock's headed down to Salem where we would spend the rest of the trip at Al's house it was time to put up the tree, decorate the house and bring the christmas spirit to Al! For the last week we have been eating all of Lisa's wonderful baked treats, Shopping and Shopping some more, babysitting little ones and having great dinners every night then putting the little one down (Sawyer) and hanging with Lisa and Dave and watching christmas movies downstairs where we all have been staying :) Its my first christmas away but its been amazing so far and I love spending time with my husband and my new family.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and David Archuleta Concert
We attended an amazing Christmas concert the night before we flew off to Oregon and it was the best way to kick off the Christmas season! The best part was we waited for about in hour outside in the freezing cold at the conference center in downtown Salt lake in huge lines and when we finally got up there it was FULL, they over gave tickets..poop! Except Mike is tricky and he snuck us in.. and what do you know we found 2 seats for us in the middle, lower level! I knew David had a great voice, but MAN can he sing, he was amazing, gave us the chills and felt the magical Christmas spirit.
